supercritical extraction

good day!

i am currently doing a plant design (thesis) that needs a supercritical CO2 extractor . can you tell me how to size the extractor -what is the appropriate model to be used??? :-[

Hi anggie,

Thanks for the question.  Unfortunately, we need a little more information than this.  For example, how much CO2 needs to be extracted?  Are their constraints to energy usage? 

These are just a few questions that would help a specialist answer your question.

thanks for the reply.

i will use 1200 kg leaves and 4100kg/hr CO2 to extract essential oil...
do you know any resources that discuss how to size the extractor?

it boils down to the reactor type in choosing what differential equation u use to size the reactor.
