i read that beta receptor blockers are anxiolytic but i dont understand how.
artists take it befor a large performance as anxiolytic.what does this mean?

Beta blockers block epinephrine receptors. Epinephrine is more commonly known as adrenaline and is produced in response to stress. Therefore, by blocking the action of epinephrine, beta blockers reduce your body's physiological response to stress.
