Hey there,
I'm stuck on (what should be a simple) question: If 4.80 g of solid hydrogen chloride is dissolved in 250.0 mL of distilled water:
a) Then write the ionic equation for the formation of hydrogen chloride solution.
b) Determine the number of moles of hydrogen ions
I know the beginning of the equation is HCl (s) + H2O (l), but what are the products? Would they be H3O+ and Cl-?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
