«

HELLO once again I am here to cause strife,
Potassium permanganate and H2O2 don't react.
BUT add ethanol and set it on fire
Then add the potassium permanganate....
BANG
hehehe
Care to explain?

This is so called net ionic reaction. K
+
doesn't change throughout the reaction, so it is called a 'spectator' and is removed from the equation.

So then they did an experiment and nothing happened? Nothing at all.
Seems like a stupid experiment to me.
They react.
