Do you mean aromatic or non-aromatic?

Is caffeine sp2 hybridized?  Do you think it is a planar molecule?

Yes caffeine is aromatic.
There is a continous loop of pi electrons in the molecule,  However, I suspect it is electron rich.  Can you please help
Thanks Rosie

Yes there are several electrons within the caffeine heterocycles but what do you mean by electron rich?  Do you mean is it available for further chemical reactivity?  Explain.

Yes, I mean are electrons available for further interaction.
Thanks Rosie

Chemistry can be done at the carbonyl groups if desired but it depends on reaction conditions.  For similar chemistry look at reactivity of the DNA and RNA base pairs.  Because caffeine is aromatic and most reactions will make it non aromatic the chemistry is unfavorable.
