Question about ionized solution conductivity and heat
« on: January 28, 2008, 10:12:09 AM »
Hey all!

Let me ask: If you have a completely ionized solution(that has
fully reacted) will heating the solution make it more conductive?

I would say yes, but I'k not sure how it works.

Thanks!!

Electrical conductivity of an ionic solution as a function of temperature?  I don't think the result is as simple as you make it out to be.  What solution?  Of what ions? Comparing which two temperatures?  How did you reach your conclusion?
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.

Thanks. Well the question formulated to me is "Why do you think the
ability to conduct electricity is different at different temperatures?"

Oh well, I'll have to read up on it.
