How can you tell what ions are formed by elements?  Do they want to attain a complete set of electrons for a particular energy level?

So for Zn, with it's 4s^2 at the end, it wants to get rid of it to have a complete 3rd energy level?

Does that mean Aluminum, with 3S^2 and 3p^1, forms a +3 ion?

Gallium forms +3?  Silicon with 3s^2, 3p^2 forms +4?

You appear to have the right idea.

places situations around characters.  Anime characters

people; their actions stem directly from their personalities,

In many cases the most stable ion comes from removal of all valence electrons.
