Catalytic Reforming
« on: February 20, 2008, 12:58:40 AM »
Hi, i am supposed to design a catalytic reactor for academic purposes and that i have to obtain details about the materials of building one reactor. Could anyone provide me some help on where can i obtain such information? thanks a lot. So far i could only search for readings that tell me about the whole process and catalyst, but hardly any that would tell me the lifespan of catalyst in a ccr.

Hello Cheng,

Here is a link to some information on a CCR:

http://www.documentation.frco.com/groups/publicreadonly/documents/webpage/ad129_ref.hcsp

The lifespan of a CCR largely depends on foulants and feedstock.  Usually, a CCR will be fouled very quickly on the initial startup and other errors due to inexperience.

I hope this helps,

Eugene
