Percentage error of a 100cm3 volumetric flask
« on: February 23, 2008, 04:33:42 AM »
To work out the percentage error, does anyone know the error for a 100cm3 volumetric flask?
I've looked everywhere but they only tell me the error for a 250cm3 vol flask (which is 0.2cm3)...

Thanks!

PS. I wasn't sure whether this question should be posted here or in the analytical chem forum... sorry if it's in the wrong place! :)

It should be printed on the side of the flask you used.  Technically, any other source, like flasks we might have hand, would not be correct.  It's not unthinkable that different brands, or a different lot of the same brand, would have different errors.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.
