number of ions in solution
« on: March 07, 2008, 07:06:09 AM »
Hi

I am working with a 0.01 M NaCl solution and I´d like to calculate the number of Sodium ions. I know it has something to do with the avogadro number, but I don´t know how it can be calculated.

Thanks for the *delete me*

Okay, lets start with the definition of Molarity.  And any other definitions of the words in that definition.

Dear Manie;

Do you know what 0.01 m ( = molar) means?
And I see, you know how much 1.0 Mole is.

Good Luck!

Dear Arkcon;

You too!,  –   But why we should start at “Adam & Eve”.
                    ( I’m also not soooo sure?:  Is it all times & for all, required?)

Good Luck!

I figure that's just a test to see if the poster knows enough basic chemistry, or has been faking it all the way through all their classes, and came here for a new supply of gimmies.  Manie28 seems to be doing fine in the other posts, and will be able to work this one out with just a little nudge.
