ok here is another homework question, i think i worked it out but am not compeletly  sure can some one take a look at it and let me know:


q:  6CO2 + 6H2O -----> C6H12O6 +6O2
                                 glucose

if a tree produces 100g of glucose in a day, how many grams of Carbon Dioxide is it using up and how many grams of oxygen is it producing in that time? show calculation.

My answer

100g glucose in a day X 264g CO2/180g glucose = 146.66 g CO2

OK HERE IS OXYGEN

100g glucose X 96g06/180g glucose = 53.33g O2

What is mass of 6 moles of oxygen O2?

OK. So when 180 g of glucose is produced, 6 moles of O2, or 192 g of oxygen is produced (no idea why ARGOS++ thinks different). How much oxygen per 100 g of glucose?

please dont yell at me, i no absolutly nothing about chemistry, i had a death in my family the week this leacture was covered, i am trying my hardest and looking things up. this is like a different language

i go 106.66 g of O2 is produced per 100g of glucose
