ammonia synthesis
« on: April 14, 2008, 06:50:17 PM »
hi

I'm having problems in finding conversion values for the rxns that are occuring in steam reformers. Is there is a way that I can find out theoretically (books, articles?) or I just need to find the thermodynamic data, equilibrium data and then calculate the conversion value

the catalyst that we are using is nickel oxide, the rxn takes place at 700C and 10bars and the hydrogen methane ratio is 3:1

thanks...

Hello beryl,

A really good source of information is typically from a University library or the supplier of the catalyst.  Double-check with them, and I am sure that they would be willing to provide a little more information for you.

Sincerely,

Eugene
