raw vs. steam broccoli
« on: April 15, 2008, 07:05:24 PM »
Hey,

SO I"m working on this project for analytical chemistry.  I decided to find the amount of calcium in raw broccoli and steam broccoli.

My instructor suggested for me to use ICP-MS and digest my sample with sulfuric acid and peroxide...I"m not really sure how to do that?

In addition I don't know how would I work with the steam broccoli since it will have a lot of water, I was thinking about dehydrating it, but I don't know how...

If anybody can help me I will appreciate it a lot.
