What is NaHO3?
« on: May 25, 2008, 10:47:00 AM »
I was experimenting with acetic acid(CHOOCH3) and sodium bicarbonate(NaHCO3). I combined them, let the CO2 of and boiled the solution.(after all the CO2 was let of). After all the liquid was boiled, I was left with a pink powder which I think is NaHO3 but I don't know. I don't know the proper name of NaHO3. Or if is! It might be carbon. I am very confussed.

There is no such thing as NaHO3.
Write down the reaction equation for the reaction between acetic acid and sodium bicarbonate.
