Problems:
Given the following pycnometer data: Pycnometer is the flask and a one hole rubber stopper.
* Weight of the water filled flask and stopper... 60.2555 g
* Density of water used in experiment.... 0.9932 g/cc
* Weight of the flask, solid, and stopper.... 132.0768 g
* Weight of the EMPTY flask and stopper... 33.2351 g
* Weight of the flask, solid, stopper, and water.. 140.2725 g
CALCULATE:
The WEIGHT of solid used _______________ (e)
The VOLUME contained by the flask
enter (f) to 3 decimal places _______________ (f)
The volume of water needed to fill the flask when the SOLID is in the flask
enter (g) to 3 decimal places _______________ (g)
The VOLUME of the SOLID _______________ (h)
The DENSITY of the SOLID _______________ (i)
So far I got:
e = 98.8417 g
f = 27.205 cc
g = 8.251 cc
h, and i are killing me. Please if someone can offer some help that would greatly be appreciated!
Sorry to post this again but I really really need some help on these problems. I have to answer it by tonight. Someone here has to know how to do it. I just need a little help.
