« on: June 03, 2008, 07:00:49 PM »
Just in the middle of finishing a lab final and one question remains unanswered; is potassium bisulfate a hydrate? Done the basic google searches and wikipedia checks but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated

To what I know, any hydrate will have H2O molecules attached to it which should be mentioned in its name. With the molecular formula KHSO4, I dont think its a hydrate. Its AnHydrous I Think. Also its used in conversion of tatrate to bitartrates in the process it might become potassium bitartrate. Not sure.
