How much heat is absorbed when 2.50 mol of C (s) reacts according to the following chemical equation?
5C (s) + 2 SO2 (g) ----> CS2 (l) + 4CO (g) ΔH° = +239.9 kJ
A) 120. kJ<------this is the answer I got
B) 240. kJ
C) 600. kJ
D) 1440 kJ
This is how I got my answer:
2.50 mol C * 239.9 kJ/5 mol C = 119.9 = 120 kJ
I was just wondering if I set up the equation right and got the right answer. If someone could please let me know if I did this correct, I would appreciate it!
