physical properties of biochemicals
« on: July 25, 2008, 12:30:22 AM »
Can anyone tell me if there is a database of measured volumes of molecules,.

More specifically, I need volume of cortisone and cortisol hormone..
Where do I search this info?

Thanks

Try using the search term "hydrodynamic volume" for cortisol and cortisone.

How about molar volume?

Thanks Hapto for replying.. I tried hydrodynamic volume, molar volume, partial specific volume, density . you name it.... It is just frustrating that such a simple piece of data is so illusive, ... There must be a book/database where someone already measured this, .. I just don't know where to look since I am not a chemist nor I have any chem Eng background....

Thanks
