You should add buttons to insert at the cursor often needed and used special characters, such as delta and sigma and nice arrows and the middle dot and such.

Although buttons in the forum interface would definitely be useful, Firefox has a nice add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/459) which allows you to insert some special characters.

Of course, what I really hope for is the ability to use LaTeX coding on the forum, but I'd imagine it'd be hard to implement.

Only physicists use LaTeX, we're a chemistry community. :p
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

No love for the physical chemists?

Awesome work with the new symbols though.

There is a latex server somewhere, where you can embed an image with a php extension and Latex code and it'll output the latex in a bmp format. I've seen a few people use it around the forums a couple of times.

Instructions for the LaTeX server are at this post: http://www.chemicalforums.com/index.php?topic=22095.0

Thanks for reminding me of that.  I remember using it previously and it was very useful.

Yes I know. *cough* I told you about it on this form a while back *cough*.

I use it all the time, I was thinking more like making questions easier to read!
