Order of stability of the lower miller index planes
« on: September 10, 2008, 02:41:07 PM »
I know that the bcc lower miller index planes are (100), (111) & (110) but how do I determine their stability?

Also for hcp (0001) or (1040) how do I determine which is more stable?

What do you mean by a term stability.
Miller indices show some direction or planes in the crystal and in any case are joined with a stability of a molecule.
