Reduction potential
« on: September 17, 2008, 11:35:49 PM »
Hey,
does anyone know the value for the reduction of Cu2+ at pH=14?

Cu(OH)2+2e- = Cu + 2[OH]-

Much appreciated.

Alternatively, does anyone have a copy of the Frost diagram for Cu at pH=14?

Start with Nernst equation fo Cu/Cu2+ system, find how Cu2+ concentration depends on the pOH (hint: you will need Kso for that). Combine these things.
