Types of reactions
« on: September 29, 2008, 11:58:37 PM »
Can you tell me the differences between combustion rxn, double displacement ( precipatation rxn), neutralization rxn ( acid basem H+ transfer rxn), redox rxn ( electron transfer, combination, decomposition, combustion, single displacement, H displacement, metal displacement, halogen displacement and disproportination rxn. Wow that was alot.

I know most of these reactions are redox but what make these reactions redox?

hey JPT1,

you can google on the reactions because it is alot! basically a redox reaction is one where oxidation and reduction takes place simultaneously. for example neutralization is not a redox rxn, because oxid and red doesn't take place.
No matters what results are waiting for us, it's nothing but the DESTINY!!!!!!!!!!!!
