addition of HCl to solution of nitroacetophenone and tin
« on: October 05, 2008, 06:58:14 PM »
The question is asking why it is recommended to add hcl drop wise instead of at once to a solution of nitroacetophenone and tin in chemoselective Reductions of 3-Nitroacetophenone.  Im assuming its because a side product will form but im not sure what would form...Any help?
