Barking Dog Help

Hey guys/girls,

For our mole day project, me and my partner are doing the "Barking Dog Reaction."  It has already been cleared by our teacher as safe enough to perform. Only problem is, I have no idea where to get a huge graduated cylinder like the one needed for this demonstration. I have looked all over. Does anyone know where I can get a graduated cylinder that is tall enough (they look to be like 6 feet tall, just a guess) for the Barking Dog Reaction?

A 6 foot tall glass cylinder is going to cost you thousands of dollars and weigh hundreds of pounds.

Okay that is what I figured...

What can I use for the Barking Dog Reaction that is a reasonable price. Is there another type of "tubing" that I can use that will be safe and work well or do I just need to perform the demonstration on a smaller scale in a graduated cylinder?

I know it is possible and the small scale is my backup plan but I would really like to do the large scale. It makes for a much more exciting demo. I'm just trying to find out if there is a way for me to pull off this large scale Barking Dog without spending thousands of dollars.

The sounds probably has something to do with vibrations in the glass, doesn't it?

Not sure about the sound issue. I can't use a cardboard tube because the audience has to be able to see what is going on. It's going to be used as a demonstration...

Any more ideas?

I can't believe a 6 foot glass tube would cost so much...

I still have yet to find one though...

Is it possible to borrow or something? My friend used to borrow equipment from local Science Centre for a science fair demostration, however the teacher-in-charge must be guarantor, in case of equipment being spoiled.
