gas law question (answer included; review please)
« on: October 18, 2008, 12:48:36 AM »
What is the pressure in a 2.50 L tank of CH4 gas containing 60 g of gas measured at 12*C?

PV = nRT

P = nRT
       V

= (62.4mm/molK)(60g of CH4)(273+12)K
                                 2.50L

hey!

n is the mole of CH4 not mass, so you need to covert. As for the molar gas constant, check the units but most probably is 8.31.
No matters what results are waiting for us, it's nothing but the DESTINY!!!!!!!!!!!!
