Lattice Energy and the Periodic Table
« on: October 24, 2008, 06:21:44 PM »
I was just wondering how you arrange the lattice energy from lowest to highest only using the periodic table

I was given these compounds: ScN, KBr, MgO, and NaF and the questions says just to use the periodic table.  I'm not to sure how to attack this one. Any ideas?

Compare charges and ion sizes, that's all.

There was a very similar question asked few days ago. Yours is much easier.
