Can someone help me write a balanced reaction equation for the reaction of 2-bromobutane with NaI/acetone?
Is Sn1(substitution, unimolecular) or Sn2(substitution, bimolecular) mechanism used for this reaction??

This is an SN2 reaction. What possible nucleophiles do you see in your reactants?

It may also help your understanding that this is a
Finkelstein reaction
named after the German chemist Hans Finkelstein. Look it up online it'll help you understand why the reaction works. I use this reaction commercially to make an intermediate on a large scale so it is useful.
Kind Regards
Russell.
