organic synthesis problem, need help badly, thank you

i am trying to go from a 2-methylbutane to what I believe is (1,1-dimethylpropyl)cyclohexane

i tried it, i look at it, and i have no idea what to even do, please let me know if i need to upload the picture, i really need to study this problem because i was told it will likely be on the final exam, thank you so much

I say, with my limited scope of reactions, radical bromination then work with your alkyl halide to build up your framework.

If you look at the structure of the product, do you see how you could break off your 2-methylbutane group?  If you do, then you can see that you need something to accept a nucleophile and one to be a nucleophile.

Going off of bromination, what was do you know to convert a brominated compound into a good nucleophile (think about some sort of metal reaction).

Once you have that we can talk more (think about what compounds the cyclohexane can be to react with that nucleophile you just created).
