Boltzmann distribution
« on: November 28, 2008, 09:55:16 AM »
Hello, can somebody help me with this question?
the instrumrnt used for the nmr experiment is a jeol90mhz with a 2.1T electromagnet.
what is the energy of these transitions in Kjmol -1?
calculate the boltzman distribution for this instrument at 20 degrees?
what increase in sensitivity would accrue from switching to a 7T magnet?
i have calculated the energy difference (delta E=hv) but i cannot seem to get the boltzmann ratio of the nuclear spins in the upper and lower levels. is there a constant for this boltzmann ratio, i cannot seem to find it???
