When we record NMR spectrum we see signals only for Protons or C13 but never both although both C13 and protons are found in the same molecule. WHY?

In a ¹³C NMR spectrum you don’t see the Protons itself, because the have a different “Resonance-Frequency” (42MHz/10kG) then the ¹³C (10.7MHz/10kG), and so also the shifts are different.

But Protons may show you a coupling with ¹³C, which you can see, if you turn off the broadband decupling on the instrument.
