Solubility Question

Account for the difference in solubility described by this observation:?
BaCO3, BaSO3, and BaSO4 are only slighllty soluble in water, but the first two dissolve in HCl whereas BaSO4 doesn't.

Aq HCl is an acid. What type of compounds would react with acids?
