Hi guys
I am new to the forum and i am taking first year chemistry in university of ottawa
I just wanted some help in chemistry homework its due tomorrow soon so i need an urgent help
here we go
3.46: How many grams of sulfur (S) are needed to react completely with 246g of mercury (Hg) to form HgS?
--------------------------------
3.72:Fermentation is a complex chemical process of wine making in which glucose is converted into ethanol and carbon dioxide:
glucose -------> ethanol + 2(carbon dioxide)
Starting with 500.4g of glucose, what is the maximum amount of ethanol in grams and in liters that can be obtained by this process? (Density of ethanol = 0.789g/mL.)
-------------------------------
3.98: A sample of a compound of Cl and O reacts with an excess of H2(diatomic hydrogen) to give 0.233g of HCL and 0.403g of water. Determine the empirical formula of the compound.
-------------------------------
3.113: Hemoglobin is the oxygen carrier in the blood. a) Calculate its molar mass. b) An average adult has about 5.0L of blood. Every mL of blood has approximately 5.0 x 10^9 erythrocytes, or red blood cells, and every red blood cell has about 2.8 x 10^8 hemoglobin molucules. Calculate the mass of hemoglobin molecules in grams in an average adult.
(Hemoglobin molecule = C(2952)H(4664)N(812)O(832)S(8)Fe(4)). in parenthesis are subscripts... sorry again
