Today's forum woes...
« on: January 26, 2009, 11:17:33 PM »
I think we found out what was causing all the downtimes on the server. The forum will self-optimize itself periodically and it would error out for some reason. This feature has been disabled and so, hopefully, things will be smoother again. Sorry for all the trouble, but its the nature of things when you don't know what you're really doing.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

Can you give a link to where you see this character set problem?

Obvious UTF problem of some kind.

That's the way it is now:

Code: [Select]
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" />
I would try changing to
Code: [Select]
charset=utf-8 to see if that won't help.

Dear Mitch;

Please tell us how we have to interpret such a looooong period of Silence and Inactiveness?

I did not know that there was already a similar related Discussion:
It seems that the Discussion was finally of much more success as the one today!

Kind regards!

Just been busy. I put a tech support ticket out for this a week ago and guess I should see what they said.
