« on: May 03, 2005, 10:54:04 PM »
hi, in a process for univ i have both, HCl and HOCl in a N2 stream. i know i can absorb HCl with water up to 30-34 % (actually 20% for me). i cant find any information about the HOCl in aqueous solition (it came from reaction between Cl2 and H2O at high temperatures)
any help is wellcomed

thanks!

HOCl is unstable, even its salts are decomposed slowly by CO2.
