general chemistry problem
« on: January 30, 2009, 01:59:12 AM »
Hi guys,
I need help with this problem. My only concern is how to get the total ionic equation and the answer.
Assume the Ca piece was pure (not partially oxidized) and weighed 4.5645g. Assuming the reaction goes to completion, how many grams of Ca(OH)2 should you have made?

Thank you

Write the chemical equation first and start to calculate moles. Always work with moles in stoichiometry.
