I'm new here and I looked for posts that may answer this question prior to posting, so if I'm missing it somewhere, I apologize in advance. I'm a chemistry neophyte...
My question is: for NaHCO3 in solution, the solution will lose CO2 and the pH will increase. What is the chemical reaction? Is this correct?
NaHCO3 + H2O > CO2^ , NaOH + H2O
Thank you.
