This doesn't sound like it's going to be illegal.... :rolleyes2:

Tell us what you're planning, and then we might be able to help you.

How about heat. ;)
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

hydrofluoric acid.. but that won't be cheap and you're not going to find it in household items.

also HF is really dangerous, it can pass through the skin and flesh and reach the bones, after that it can really melt the bones (after several weeks) (my professor has only 1 hand now, in his case amputation was needed)

also it can be absorbed by inhalation, really painful too.

Fused NaOH apparently attacks glass, as does HOT 80%+ phosphoric acid.

I have never actually attempted to attack glass this way myself, but whilst corrosive, they certainly aren't on the same kind of danger level as HF.

(they WILL burn quite badly, but at least they won't dissolve your bones from th inside out, then give you a fatal heart attack ;D)
