Recently we did a lab in class where we put Cobalt (II) Chloride Hydrate into a crucible and heated it. Purpose being to make it as close as we could to being anhydrous.
I'm not sure of the answer to these two questions, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
1. Explain why one may get a higher mole concentration of water in the experiment than the theoretical value?
2. Explain why one may get a lower mole concentration of water in the experiment than the theoretical value?
So pretty much they are just opposites of each other...
If you would like any other additional information about the lab I will do my best to find it.
