Hello all...
this is my first post and i'm so glad to have found this forum!
i hope someone can help me here. i'm doing an kinetic study to develope a reaction kinetic model for an in situ reaction of oleic acid to produce dihydroxystearic acid two-steps epoxidation and hydrolysis. the reactants are oleic acid, hydrogen peroxide and formic acid. as any conventional kinetic study would be, i'm required to do sampling at certain intervals throughout the reactions. I would like to know, what chemicals should i use to quench the reaction in every sample? someone suggested using sodium sulfate. any other suggestion pls???
thanx a bunch for your response!
