Should I call or email some schools about my application?
« on: March 04, 2009, 02:50:54 PM »
I applied to Purdue, U of Akron, Wayne State, and U of NM.  I  applied in mid February because I was waiting on one of my rec letters.  U of Akron sent me an email saying my application is under review with the department.  When I check my application status for the other three, all that it says is that my application has been submitted-which doesn't tell me anything.
Should I call or email the other three schools to find out if my app is under review or what?  If anyone can comment on their experience with the online app from Purdue, I would greatly appreciate it.

You should call their graduate liaison person. For the record schools expect letters of reference to be late, they do not expect applications to be late.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

My app was still in before all of the deadlines.  It was just not in as early as I wanted it to be.
