Is electron present on sp carbon in a carbon free radical less stable than that on sp2 carbon? Explain with proper reason!

Stronger electrostatic repulsion in sp carbon radical makes it more unstable. Hence, mostly, we  have positively charged in sp or sp2 carbon in order to have low ionization potential in their fragments which implies their superiority in their stabilities induced by resonance effect.

radical stability decreases in this order: sp3>sp2>sp>methyl
the greater p character, the lesser s character. s orbitals are more spherical and thus do not allow as great of a charge delocalization. thus, yes a radical on an sp carbon is less stable than an sp2 carbon. that is how it was explained to me anyway =)
