Can you identify the original carbon skeleton in the product?  Now look at where those new pieces are connected, is there something special about that position?

Yes, I can (and could) see an image, but I wasn't quite sure what you were asking - reagents? what comes next? how to make the starting material? ...?

You are free to use any reagents you want. Synthesis of starting material is not of interest as of now and consider it readily available.

Acidic alpha hydrogen? I realized that, but am not going anywhere.
