Does anyone know how soluble silicon would be in an organic solvents like xylene or acetone? Sort of a random question but I coulnd't find a satisfactory answer and it's been years since I took inorganic.

I think it would be silicon dioxide. The form of silicon that is used in microelectronics for its chemical stability and electrical insulation properties.
