hello, im stuck on a galvanic cell electromotive force problem.
given at 298K, and assume activity coefficients of all species are 1
Ag(s)| AgCl(s)| KCl (aq, .025 mol/L)|| AgNO3 (aq,0.010 mol/L) | Ag (s)
i got from the table .799 for AgNO3 +1 -> Ag(s) 0, and also got .2223 from table (IM ASSUMING) for the KCL-> AgCl (s) and Ag (s) but not sure if that number is right.
also i know those given values or for 1 mol equiv. but mine a mol fractions. so im assuming again its not as easy as subtracting .799-.2223
not sure where to go. prof told me i cant simply multiply the .010mol/L by the given values...so not sure what to do
much thanks for any help
