There is a strong relationship between the nickel concentration in copper and the strength of the alloy (yield and ultimate tensile) . Explain why the strengths are so strongly influenced by the composition of the alloy?

I'm wondering should i try using micro and nano structures and/or phase equilibrium diagrams to explain this??  ???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!  :)

Siobhan.
