Hello all,
I am doing research on titanium dioxide (rutile) nanoparticles. I want to cut a spherical nanoparticle from a crystal. On doing so its charge neutrality must be maintained. How can I do charge balance and ensure neutrality? For titanium dioxide is it done by having number of titanium atoms double of that of oxygen atoms? This problem does not arises when a cubical nanoparticle is cut instead of spherical nanoparticle from a large lattice.
Any help will be appreciated.
