Storing sodium fluoride solution

Can someone help me with this question:

Why is the standard sodium fluoride solution is stored in the polyethylene bottle and not in a glass bottle?

Because F-+H2O ::equil::HF+OH- and HF corrodes glass. 4HF+SiO2 :rarrow:SiF4+2H2O

wow does NaF hydrolyze under water. I know it would with a strong acid like H2SO4. Is that why i feel strange after eating toothpaste

In dilute solution, HF is a weak acid (Ka ~ 3.5*10-4) so F- is (slightly) basic:

F- + H2O --> HF + OH-
