I have a solution of chelated iron @ 1000ppm that removes H2S from a CH4 gas stream. Is this reaction temperature Dependant?
H2S is soluble in water but the Fe(2+) goes to Fe(3+) when H2S is entrained. The solubility of H2S in water is temperature Dependant,
http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/gases-solubility-water-d_1148.html so will depressing the temperature hinder the Fe reaction while improving the H2O solubility?
Thanks
