hydrolyze esters

when esters react with water the products are alchohol and acid. I am asking if the "hydrolyze" woud be possible with other polar liquid moleculs(npr. 100% ethanol or methanol)?

Think about the definition of hydrolysis.
Esters do react with alcohols, but not in "hydrolysis".

Ok, so that moleculs cant hydrolise ester because they react with him. Are then any other polar moleculs, which not reacts with the ester, but can do the ester bond clevage?

Try to think about the mechanism of esterification and ester hydrolysis in water. You should know of a class of reactions that can occur at a carbonyl group. To regain the original acid and alcohol, what reagents would you use?

I think i has to be a polar moleculs, but I cant renember any one than does not react with ester hydrolise product.
