Solvent miscibility
« on: September 14, 2009, 04:49:05 PM »
Is there a good web or source which indicate which solvent is miscible with water or other solvent and which is not or perhaps even reacts.  Ideally a cross chart !

Specifically, does Propanone react with Carboxylic acids (eg Methanoic acid), Ammonia, Chloroform and Xylene.

How can I make gradual concentration of the water non-miscible Chloroform - application paper chromatography

You can't.
